What Causes Prolonged Runny Nose With Fluid Sound In Ears While Blowing The Nose?

I just got over a cold and blew my nose just now. It continues to run and drip a very watery liquid that is light yellow in color from my left nostril. I can get the dripping to stop by applying pressure with a tissue, but it starts up again when I blow my nose afterwards. There is no pain associated with my nose, but I do hear fluid in my ears each time I blow my nose.
