What Causes Prolonged Vaginal Bleeding After Breaking Hymen?

Hi, I think my boyfriend broke my hymen last week by fingering me. I've never masturbated so that area was totally uncharted. It's been seven days and I'm still bleeding. It was bleeding a lot at first but in the days that followed it has just been spotting until today and it started bleeding again, but I haven't agitated the area at all. There is no pain, so is this normal?
