What Causes Prolonged Vaginal Bleeding Post Having Depo Injection?

I had an abortion in November and I went onto the depo injection, I have been bleeding since I went onto the injection, I had sex about a week ago and I m bleeding with blood clots and it s bright red, been bleeding since I had sex and im pretty worried
