What Causes Prolonged Vaginal Spotting After Having Period?

I had my period for a complete week.. it s almost two weeks now and I am still spotting when I have to have a bowel movement and at times early in the a.m when I have my first morning pee.. there is no foul smell and no abdominal or vaginal pain... it was a light pink at first and now a really light tan color. Can someone please help me understand what is going on or if I need to seek further medical help.
