What Causes Prominent Vein On Neck And Collarbone After Choking On Food?

Hi i chocked on some food a week ago at a formal meal. The choking was quite intense as i held on for a few seconds before letting myself choke. It has caused avein to appear in my neck and collar bone. Will this improve over time? Feels quite sore also.
