What Causes Puffiness Under Eyes On Usage Of Premedication For Cataract Surgery?

I had cataract and gluacoma surgery on the 6th the prescription drops I have to use in my eye have caused a rash on the side of my nose and face, there is some puffiness under my eye. I have been taking benadryl for the rash but should I continue with these drops until I can get in to see my doctor?
