What Causes Puffiness Under The Eyes And On Eyelids?

Hi, I am a 67 year old woman who has had severe puffiness under my eyes and on my eye lids for 5 weeks. It is worse in the morning but does not go away during the day. I went to bed one nite with no puffiness and awoke with puffiness ...it has just been getting worse and worse. I have tried cold spoons, cold compresses etc. antihistamines.. what should I try next?
