What Causes Pulsating In Left Ear And Blockage In Right Ear?

I had bilaterial myringtomoy and vents inserted last week. For one week now I have not been able to get out of bed - no energy. And now my left ear has a constant pulsing and my right ear is blocked. I can't hear noises which are close by. Is this normal?
