What Causes Pulsating Sensation Above Knee And Tingling In Upper Thigh?

Uncomfortable pulsation just above my left knee. It is on the front side of my person. I can physically see it twitch and feel the pulse when my leg is both flat and bent. Feels like a tact is being pressed on knee cap near the pulsing and has warm sensation. There is some tingling as well up into my upper thigh and down to my foot. What is causing this?
