What Causes Pulsating Veins In The Temple?

My Grand daughter 31 years old just called me and is kinda worried because she says she feels the veins in her temple pulsating and has felt this for a few days off and on. Is this anything serious or could it be from stress. She really is a hypochondriac but I hope she is ok.
