What Causes Purple Dot On Lip?

So I recently noticed that there's a purple dot on my lip. It wasn't there when I last saw it, but my boyfriend noticed it two days ago. I'm wondering how on earth did that purple mark appear! I'm assuming that it might be due to the lipstick I bought, which is a jordana lipstick (please note, I dont wear lipstick. I recently bought that lipstick and tried it on a few days ago)...so do you know what's wrong and how can I get rid of it?
