What Causes Purple Rashes On My Thigh And Groin?

yes I have these purple almost stretch mark looking lines on my thighs and groin area I saw a doctor who told me it was a fungal infection and gave me some cream. cream does not seem to be working and these things are kindof indented to the touch wondering if i have a bigger problem or std?
