What Causes Purplish Black Lines On Lower Back?

i am 38 years female have a purple blackish spider web looking lines all along my lower back they have been present for about 4 months but is appears to be going up my back more and more, at first i thought i had burned it with the heating pad as i do have lower back pain, but a heat pad burn would have been gone by now any idea what this is
