What Causes Radiating Pain From My Collar Bone To Neck?

I drink alot with my lifestyle as a singer in a band and get inadequate rest. The other day, while performing, I felt a shooting pain that started in my left collar bone and proceede up the left side of my neck. It scared me. I was working on very little sleep at the time. Can you give me any possible answer on what the cause was?
