What Causes Raised Moles On Face?

Hi. Approximately 1 year ago I developed a few moles on my face that are raised and have pus in them. They have seemed to spread and I have more of them.. What could be the cause of them and can anything be done. I dislike the way may face looks. Thank you so much for any help you could give me
