What Causes Rash In Scrotal Area?

Hey, i have a small rash at the top of my groin near my scrotum, and then a spot on the back of my scrotum that irritates me kind of like chaffing is this just a small case of jock itch or heat rash or something more serious i havent had sex for 3 months.
