What Causes Rashes All Over The Body With Flu Like Symptoms?

I have woken up this morning with a rash covering my arms, legs and a lot of my body. I have had a cold on and off since mid Sept. Flu like symptoms at beginning of week (feeling cold and gone to bed and woken up dripping in sweat). Been feeling very tired and run down.
