What Causes Recurrent Gallbladder Stones?

I have recurring attacks that sounds like gall bladder symptoms about every month or so. I’m affected about 18-24 hrs each time before returning to normal. It’s never at a convenient time to get into see the doctor during these attacks. My question is: if I make an appointment to see my doctor without these symptoms present will the tests still be able to reveal any gall bladder problems?
