What Causes Recurring Blood In Mucus?

I spit out bloody mucus every morning when I wake up I brush my teeth every night and everyday I do have a very big cavity that if i put a qtip in it, they'll be blood in it as well but I don't know if that is the cause the blood that comes out in the morning is very very dark red and has a foul smell and taste. After i spit it out, it won't happen again until the next morning.
