What Causes Recurring Boils In The Crease Of Groin Area?

My lady friend who is a very young looking 65 year old develops boils in the crease in her groin area on each side of her pubic area about the size and appearance of cooked pinto beans often which I ve never seen nor heard about in my entire active sex life (I m age 66). She is a diabetic and said her doctor once told her they will develop at times. The 1st one I noticed actually burst and bled apparently without her knowing it as she washed up after sex one morning, and I pointed it out to her in an alarmed voice since I didn t know it she was experiencing harm. In a most relaxed way she assured me it was nothing to harm me sexually. Is this indeed a typical diabetic development, or need I be concerned that there s a past STD connection she s not telling me of? Thank you for enlightening me.
