What Causes Recurring Cough And Fever?

I was just reading about walking pneumonia I have been sick since Tuesday with a cough and fever off and on getting alittle worried I haven t been sick for years called my dr. And they said don t worry unless it is hard for you to breath that there is so many different strains what should I do.
