What Causes Recurring Headache/migraine Despite OTC Medication?

HI, I've had migraines/headaches for the past month or so now, over the counter medicine helps most of the time for a couple hours but then it comes back. Could this be possibly caused by stressed since it is close to break for college students and many projects or due or could it be something more since its been a month or so??
