What Causes Recurring Herpangina?

My tounge burns hurts to eat ANYTHING. I went to the doctor thinking I had strep throat to find out I have herpengina. Then the prescription they gave me fixed it with two days now my tounge still burns and my lips have broken out into yellow puss looking canker sores. What s wrong with me????
