What Causes Recurring Pain Beside The Tragus?

Doctors, I have had a sharp, recurring pain beside my tragus that feels like there is build up of fluid or lump of some sort sort. It comes and goes and has been troubling me for about a year. It aches when it occurs, and is extremely painful when touched.
