What Causes Recurring Pain In The Leg?

My left leg is in excruciating pain at times. It also feels like pins and needles. I do a lot of driving so my leg seems to be getting worse when I am behind the wheel extensively. I'm afraid I may have a blood clot. Could you tell me the difference between sciatic pain and a clot pain?
