What Causes Recurring Rashes?

Hello Doctors,

My daughter (Madison), has a recurring rash that is usually located on her upper arms. It sometimes finds its way to her knee and elbow joints. It is pink/red, large circular (not a ring) with some satellite bumps and it is very itchy... It wakes her up at night. We have had multiple visits with different doctors. But none of the diagnoses were convincing as the remedies did not work and the rash comes back... It recurs every few months. The only correlating factor that her Mom and I have observed is the sun. After exposure to the sun the rash seems to come back. Can we send you a picture for a visual diagnosis... her rash came back over the weekend and this time it is bad!

Thanks John, Tammy & Madison
