What Causes Recurring Red Spots On Scrotum?

Hi what do dark red dots on the scrotum mea, i have had them before but they dissapear for a while and come back again. I am 38 yrs old, have had no significant medical history or illness. I excercise alot and get very sweaty and thought this may contribute.
