What Causes Recurring Sore Throat Along With Cough?

Hello.. I am worried about my health lately.. I often got oral thrush, and I have been having a cough for about 10 days (it did not get 100% cured after I drank cough syrup for 3 days - but yes it got better).. Another thing is that I often got sorethroat which always come and go, it happened in these 3 weeks. I am not sure whether its okay or not, but I have never been having a sore throat that comes and goes like this.
