In mid-October, I went to Dave and Buster s Arcade. The next day, I started experiencing the symptoms of a stomach flu: nausea, exhaustion, but no vomiting. I recovered within a week, but the next week the symptoms came back, slightly less severe than the first time but this time accompanied by stomach pain. Still no vomiting. Ever since then, I ve had intermittent episodes of nausea, stomach pain and extremely odd burping. These episodes range in length from two days to a week and a half, with the severity and exact symptoms changing each time. For example, the week before Christmas, I had emotional instability (culminating in a horrible anxiety attack), stomach pain, and a disinclination to eat. I recovered and was fine for three days, but i woke up in the middle of the night on Christmas Eve to horrible nausea and chills. Didn t vomit, but felt awful until about the 28th. Nothing seems to trigger these episodes. I ve cut out dairy and gluten and they re still here. The time between them is inconsistent as well. For about two weeks earlier this month, it was just a constant low-level episode. There are also instances where it spikes up horribly for a day, and then goes away almost completely the next day. I ve seen a doctor and been tested for parasites -- negative. I m assuming it must be connected to something I picked up at Dave and Buster s, but I have no idea what it might be. I m a 14 year old girl, 5 6 and 100 pounds (although the episodes made me lose a lot of weight; I was down to 85 pounds before Christmas.) I have no other medical issues, no food allergies or anything. (I don t think.) I haven t menstruated yet; I m thinking maybe this maybe some form of mutant PMS and when I get my period, it ll go away. The oddest symptom is the burping. I feel the need to burp maybe once a minute, more after I eat. But these aren t normal burps. I have to lean forward to get them out, and they sort of come out from my chest, not my mouth. They sound different as well. Sometimes they hurt or feel hot. I thought this might be hereditary because my mom had stomach pain and vomiting for 14 years, starting when she was 14. But her symptoms are very different than mine, and hers was cured by acupuncture. I ve tried acupuncture and it helped a little bit, but then the episodes resumed. I know this is long and I m sorry! I just hoped that someone could help me.
