What Causes Recurring Vaginal Thrush?

Hi, I have suffered with recurrent vaginal thrush for years. For some time now I have been seeing a clear mucous discharge. Sometimes when I wipe there is so much. It is putting me off having intercourse with my husband as I am often sore inside. We had intercourse on Saturday and now I am really itchy, swollen and smell very fishy.

I went to the doctors a while back after researching BV on the internet and said I thought it mught be that. They did a test and it came back as thrush!. Everytime it comes back as thrush over the years I have had treatment that have to be taken after each period for months but still it comes back. The discharge used to be like cottage cheese but hasn't for some time and when I mentioned the type of discharge I am having the doctor looked at me a stragely. I have been test for STD and they have all come back clear.

I am on the brink of using tea tree oil just to try and get some relief.

Please help.

Melanie.
