What Causes Red And Painful Lumps On Face, Head And Legs?

My husband has large red cyst like lumps primarily on face head and occasionally legs. These are singular and do not appear in groups or rashes. These lumps occasional produce a thin clear liquid when squeezed, but, no pus. When these lumps finally disappear they leave white sunken places. They are quite painful. He was diagnosed with exzema several years ago, but I find nothing that looks like these lumps on any of the eczema sites
