What Causes Red Blotches On Face After Vomiting?

40 year old female; 5'2"; 175 lbs or so; vomited immediately after breakfast. looked in mirror large, red blotches all over face and neck. 6 hours later, still there but now raised. Not itchy, but looks dry. (light complexion- african american) Considered this a violent vomiting. Never had this happen before. Only tiny red spots on my eyelids in the past, after vomiting.
