What Causes Red Blotches On The Body And Nose Along With Dizziness And Cough?

Hi there, my dad has been quite sick has been to the doctor quite a few times, he had red spoches all over his back, a cough that he couldnt shake and today he has come home feeling dizzy. He also had red sores underneath his nose. He has been struggling for 3 weeks now - any thoughts? the red splotches and sores under his nose concern me.
