What Causes Red Bumps On Back?

Hi...my daughter and I started getting these red bumps on our bodies back in Feb. she has since gotten rid of them after her doctor gave her a steroid...I've tried several medicated creams and nothing is taking them away or making them itch less...do you know what they may be or what's causing this?
