What Causes Red Bumps On Groin?

I have red fleshy bumps around my groin area, they are sore like if I were to have shaved down there and it seems like an ingrown hair but I really havn't recently. I was wondering if It could be dirty do to not cleaning immdiatly after intercorse. should i be concerned? thanks
