What Causes Red Bumps On My Throat?

Hello. My name is Susie and I have had 4-5 small red bumps in the back of my throat (soft palate) for about a year now... I don't really have any ill effects, a slight constant pain, sometimes it hurts a bit more, but it's usually this slight pain. I went to a doctor and had it swabbed and they basically said there was nothing wrong. I'd like a second opinion. Thanks for your time.
