What Causes Red Bumps On The Penis?

Hi, about two days ago while in the shower I noticed a couple of tiny red bumps/lumps on the head of my penis. I also have another one on the underside of the shaft (frenulum?) about the same size. I have not had sexual intercourse ever and am just curious if it may be something minor, before going to my physician. Thank you
