What Causes Red Circular Rashes On The Armpit?

Hi,

I've had a red, circular underarm rash about the size of a half dollar under only one of my armpits. It causes me to have a very different, and somewhat offensive odor compared to my other armpit. It stings when I apply deodorant but I haven't used it for two weeks now and no sign of improvement....
