What Causes Red Itchy Bumps On The Internal Side Of Hands?

My 14 year old daughter developed red, circular itching bumps on the insides of her hands yesterday. Today, they have spread to her feet, and are incredibly itchy; the base of her index finger is swollen. We visited a pharmacy doctor (not a nurse) and she diagnosed it as ringworm. She prescribed an antifungal cream. However, she now has a slight fever and feels very exhausted. Two days ago, she woke up with an extremely stiff neck, and has head pain when standing up, which disappears in a few minutes. She has a slight runny nose but no coughing. The symptoms may be unrelated but I am concerned nevertheless; she has orchestra practice tomorrow, which she cannot skip, and since her fingertips are swollen, they hurt when playing an instrument. In addition, she has kendo (a sport) practice tomorrow, and they practice barefoot in a gym. Is it something serious, and should she stay home tomorrow?
