What Causes Red, Itchy, Flaky Patches On Forehead That Is Spreading?

I have red dry itchy flaky patches at first on my four head just a couple small places at first and it's speading all over my face it's been there for about six months and won't go away on it's own what is it? It's like having really bad dandruff on my face
