What Causes Red Itchy Rashes On Arms, Legs And Abdomen?

I have had a red itchy rash on my arms, legs and stomach for 4 days. Until today, I had no other symptoms. Today I experienced a headache and body aches. No fever. The rash is not raised but hurts the most when something cool or cold touches it. Is this a virus and should I be concerned at this point?
