What Causes Red Itchy Spots On The Chest?

I have recently gone through the treatment process for scabies. in the last few days i have developed some red itchy raised spots on my chest area. These do not look like scabies (this is my third time treating scabies so i am aware of the appearance). Could this possibly be an irritation from the dead mites? Or could it be something else?
