What Causes Red Mark On Eye And Swelling, Itching And Pain?

I woke up with a red mark on my eye. It has little dots on top as well but like very little, kind of like spots. after the first day of having it, it started to swell up and hang a little over my eye. It hurts and is itchy sometimes. I have no idea what it could be?
