What Causes Red Particles In Stool When Suffering From Severe Diarrhea?

I've been having severe diarrhea for 5 days now. To combat it I've had to stop eating and only eat when I can plan to be in pain for about 2 hours or more. I've noticed some red dots in my stool now aND I'd like to know if I should wait it out or go to the doctor
