What Causes Red Patches On Swollen Fingers?

I have three fingers that have red patches above the cuticle, near it but not touching it, that are itchy and swollen. One of the three fingers is swollen on the side of the nail. I woke up with them like that about two weeks ago. They're still swollen and itchy at times. Is there anything specific that I should use or do?
