What Causes Red Rash Around Eyes Down To The Temple?

Hi, yes my husband has a very red rash around his eyes and down his temple area. He went to the doctor a week ago and was put on steroids b/c dr thought it was poinson ivy. But it is back in full swing. There is no pain or itching at all. He tried to get into see a dermatologist today to no avail. Can you help? Thanks, Cat
