What Causes Red Rashes On Face In Infant?

Hi!! My six months old baby is having red rashes all over the face and the doctor have prescribed Eumosone-M cream for him. The rashes disappear after applying but returns immediately after I stop the application. Should I continued applying the cream? Will the skin become addicted to the steroid content present in the cream?
