What Causes Red Round Spots On Inner Thighs?

I have 3 red, round spots on my inner thigh near genital area. The 3 seem to connect. It doesn't seem to be raised and is not itchy. It looks as if the skin is stained. I noticed it a few months ago...just one spot, now it seems to be spreading. Any ideas
