What Causes Red Spots On The Cervix?

Hi there this morning went in for a exam at the hospital forget the name were they look at your cervix I have never had a iregular pap test before and i had two mild ones..when I went in she looked and saw two little red spots that she took a sample off but did not tell me anything elese except could just be imflamation!! should i be worried??thanx for your time...Julie
