What Causes Red Spots On The Face Of A Child?

my son is 5 years old. has had cold symptoms and pink eye in last week. he now has been getting red spots like pimples on hi face. 2-3 at a time. one goes away another appears. one is in the corner of his eye. he is also complaining of leg pain in one leg. actually limps at times. all this in the last week. he was crying last night due to the pain. I though growing pains but now I am more concerned. any thoughts?
